Originally from the Big Island of Hawaii, Leialoha Humpherys loves God and Jesus Christ, her husband (Jordan), and good food, of course! She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
Her debut novel, Aloha State of Mind, a self-help book about creating paradise where you are, was published in 2021 and has been followed by fairy tale retellings, young adult, and epic fantasy novels set in ancient Hawaii.
She is now mainly focusing on fairy tale retellings, although you can find more about her self-help and Hawaiian culture writings at her blog, Naturally Aloha.
Her fairy tales are known for the protagonists tackling difficult, sometimes dark, challenges yet finding hope and happily-ever-afters, despite their circumstances. She hopes that her writing can invite love and light into your life.
Leialoha loves the ocean, Hawaiian culture and folklore, creating, and anything with coconut. She, her husband, and their sweet baby girl currently live in the small town of Santaquin, Utah.
