There are bumps along the way that could further destroy what they are seeking to rebuild, or these bumps could be an opportunity to grow closer and stronger together.

This book deals with several sensitive/trigger issues, including a recovering alcoholic, teen pregnancy, loss of a spouse, and an affair - all of which I was unaware of before reading A Bookshop for Christmas. But this book focuses on forgiveness, second chances, and hope for what is to come. Everything comes to a head just in time for the planned Christmas opening when the past and the present collide, long-held secrets and resentments are confronted, and nature's wintry presence makes itself known.
