The Diaries of Pontius Pilate
By Joseph Max Lewis
It seemed like a standard archeological dig along the shores of the Dead Sea until they unearthed an artifact that certain people want to stay buried forever. First a member of the auxiliary staff is murdered - just an unfortunate occurrence until a highly trained group of assassins attacks their camp.
As Doctors Kevin Elliot and Jill Gates attempt to save these most precious artifacts that seem to have ties to Pontius Pilate they are also in struggle to survive against an unknown powerful foe determined to stop them no matter what! But the question is why are a bunch of copper scrolls and an ancient piece of wood worth sending out assassins around the world - what is on these ancient artifacts that someone wants to destroy them and any and all who have had contact with them? The truths that have been buried for nearly 2,000 years could change the world and someone is very worried if the truth gets out.
The Diaries of Pontius Pilate is a thrilling adventure that is sure to keep your eyes glued to the pages of your book until the very end. This book was described as an Indiana Jones style reading experience and it is indeed such a book. But it is set in a modern setting, unlike Indiana Jones, and technological gadgetry that is used helps add to the drama and suspense. (Unlike Indiana Jones no one melts being exposed to the artifacts - BIG plus in my opinion!) There is another Lost Ark similarity but I can't say what without giving something away - and it is good, believe me.
There are two groups at work one trying to stop Kevin and Jill and another trying help them. But how are two hunted archeologists to know the difference? Finding out just may save their lives...
If you want more excitement pick up a copy of The Diaries of Pontius Pilate today and enjoy the adventure. This is a book that should appeal to most readers unless you don't like adventure, excitement, and a touch of romance in your books.

Interview with author Joseph Max Lewis
INTERVIEW WITH JOSEPH MAX LEWIS author of THE DIARIES OF PONTIUS PILATE
1) If you had to describe “The Diaries of Pontius Pilate” in 3 or 4 words, what would they be?
Tom Clancy meets Frank Peretti. Oopps, that’s five.
2) Which main character in The Diaries of Pontius Pilate do you see as being the most closely based on you or someone you know? (Such as having a favorite food, a saying that only that person says, etc.)
Only Professor Pearl Jesky, who’s kind of a composite of a couple “older sister” type female friends I have. The others are figments.
3) As a writer whose writings have most influenced you?
Maybe the late Walter Wager, an old school Thriller writer, because I cut my teeth as a reader with Wager’s paperbacks - Viper Three, Swap and other classics. I know you’re supposed to say Joseph Conrad or Harper Lee and prove you’re a “serious” writer, but there you go.
4) Did you have to do much research for this book, or did you use previously obtained knowledge from your former professions?
About fifty fifty. I was familiar with military tactics, Israel, the Negev and the Dead Sea. I did a fair amount of research into carbon dating, tramp steamers and the Mobile area.
5) Do you have another book in the works? If so will it be a similar theme as in an archaeological thriller or something totally different?
In April we released a small collection of legal suspense short stories - Just Verdicts - that have been well received. The sequel to Diaries, which was complete when I started the final edit, is now almost complete. Looks like I have to write another ending. It is a Thriller. However, this novel revolves around journalism, not archaeology. Many of the good guys and bad guys we met in Diaries return.
6) If you could write a book with another author, who would you like to work with?
Since Mr. Wager’s passed on, I’d say Dean Koontz.

Book Blurb:
The Diaries of Pontius Pilate opens when a member of an archeological team is murdered along the shores of the Dead Sea. We learn that the murderer and victim are both spies, observing the expedition and grappling with the fact that the team has just discovered some controversial artifacts. In fact, Archaeologist Kevin Elliot and his Deputy, Jill Gates have unearthed twenty copper scrolls etched with the results of Pontius Pilate’s year long criminal investigation into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They manage to open one scroll far enough to take a series of digital photographs of the writings and email them to a Professor of Ancient Latin for translation. Unaware of the scrolls content, Kevin and Jill are unprepared when they’re caught between an ancient conspiracy of global power that’s determined to destroy the scrolls along with everyone connected to them, and a small, fledgling volunteer group, the only force on earth that stands between Kevin, Jill and certain death.

Love's Awakening ~ Review
Love's Awakening
The Ballantyne Legacy #2
By Laura Frantz
Love's Awakening is the second installment in the Ballantyne Legacy and follows the story of Eden and Silas Ballantyne. But where Love's Reckoning is the beginning of their story and the trials that they faced before they were married, Love's Awakening focuses on the lives of their children Peyton, Andra, Ansel, and especially Elinor (Ellie).
As the youngest Ellie has been sheltered and protected, but when she decides to leave finishing school and return home she confronts a danger she never expected - losing her heart to one of the worst men in Pittsburg.
Jack Turlock, the son of a whiskey distiller, is a person of low repute because of his family name. But when he rescues Ellie after she is waylaid by a storm on her journey home they are both drawn to the other. But both see their attraction as something to be ignored because there was no way a Turlock and a Ballantyne would ever be allowed to court....
Love's Awakening takes a look at the brutality of slavery in a free state in 1822 and the lengths to which some people would go to hold to their convictions - even murder. The Ballantynes are abolitionists while the Turlocks own slaves.
I have to say I really like Ellie. She is a person with convictions and is willing to take chances to do what is right. I love her interactions with Chloe Turlock and the friendship that develops between the two of them. The characters are well developed and this story just adds another layer to what was created in Love's Reckoning and is as equally delightful. This historical fiction at its best. A new country struggling to find its way caught in the push to expand west and in its midst two families mirroring the trials that are facing the nation.
If you read the first book in this series you won't be disappointed in this sequel! And as a point of interest their is a small excerpt from book 3 - which will leave you in eager anticipation of book 3!
I was provided a copy of this book by Revell in exchange for my honest review.
Available August 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
The path to true love lies somewhere between two feuding families
In the spring of 1822, Ellie Ballantyne leaves finishing school and returns to the family home in Pittsburgh only to find that her parents are away on a long journey and her siblings don't seem to want her to stay. Determined to stand her ground and find her place in the world, Ellie fills her time by opening a day school for young ladies.
But when one of her students turns out to be an incorrigible young member of the Turlock family, Ellie knows she must walk a fine line. Slaveholders and whiskey magnates, the Turlocks are envious of the powerful Ballantynes and suspicious of their abolitionist leanings. As Ellie becomes increasingly entangled with the rival clan--particularly the handsome Jack Turlock--she finds herself falling in love with an impossible future. Will she betray her family and side with the enemy?
Masterful storyteller Laura Frantz continues to unfold the stirring saga of the Ballantyne family in this majestic tale of love and loyalty. This is the Ballantyne Legacy.

The Mysterious Treasure of Jerry Lee Thorton ~ Review
The Mysterious Treasure of Jerry Lee Thorton
By Mike Thomas
The summer that Luke McAllister is 12 is one filled with adventure as he and his two best friends Farley Ray Midkiff and RaeNell Stephens determine to find the legendary hidden treasure of Jerry Lee Thorton. But first things first they need to decide where to look.
And determining where to start digging means reading which is in Luke's words is research and "research had a ring of homework to it." And Luke wasn't "going to spend the whole summer doing homework and reading and stuff." But everybody had a "different telling of it" and research was the only way to figure it out.
With Momma correcting his grammar and Poppa Daddy to make him do his chores around the farm Luke has a full summer ahead of him.
The Mysterious Treasure of Jerry Lee Thorton is a delightful story that is sure to capture the imagination of any reader. Set in a simpler time and place with a mood setting dialect that helps pull the reader into the story and its charms. The search brings to light more than a legendary treasure as the true value of family and friendship is discovered.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet book with a story from a bygone era when innocence isn't something unusual and friendship between boys and girls was normal.
I was provided a copy of this title to review for the purpose of this Pump Up Your Book blog tour.
ABOUT THE MYSTERIOUS TREASURE OF JERRY LEE THORTON
What does a guy do when his best friend starts doing things that are completely out of character? In the case of Luke McAllister, you can’t do anything - until you figure out exactly what it is that is different.
The fact that his best friend is a girl complicates matters a heap. Nothing makes sense when RaeNell Stephens, the girl that has “the best curve ball he’s ever seen”, starts blushing and acting like a durned female. All of this at the beginning of the ‘summer to end all summers’ too. This is the summer that Luke, RaeNell, and their friend Farley Midkiff set out to locate, and cash in on a rogue Civil War soldier’s stolen one million dollar Union payroll.
Undaunted by thousands of scholars and fortune seekers having looked unsuccessfully for the treasure for a hundred years, the three twelve-year-old friends search diligently for themselves. What they find is an adventure that leads them on a spiraling path of discovery.
They discover newness in themselves, their families, and the closeness of a small southern community in the process. Luke wrestles with his morality, ethics, and his slowly emerging awareness of the difference between boys and girls. He also discovers that his late father left him an incredibly large legacy of duty, fidelity and caring for those around him.
The telling of the story takes place in imaginary New Caledonia County, NC in 1966. The deep rural traditions, vernacular, and ways of life of the region and community are portrayed in great detail as the story unfolds.
This is an adventure story, but it is also a story about making good decisions whether you want to or not... It is also a story of relationships. Family and community are underscored, but there is an underlying theme of male/female relationships. It's really okay for boys and girls to be buddies without always having to be boyfriends and girlfriends. It is also a story about innocence. NOT innocence lost, but innocence maintained.

Callie Grant ~ Author Interview and Book Review
Recently author Callie Grant spent some time to answer a few questions about her soon to be released books in the Knowing My God series. Here is the resulting interview:
This series started as a desire to share the actual words of Jesus with my infant daughter. While Bible translations for young children have a place in a new life, they lose much of the original meaning. So I made a little flip chart book for her with photographs and Jesus' words. I really believed her heart, as God's creation, would hear those words and recognize them. As Graham Blanchard started developing the idea into a series, we realized that a much larger connection could be made with the beautiful real-world photographs. The books evolved into the multi-level format that offers an experience baby, toddler, and young child.
Mud Puddle Hunting Day takes a look at enjoying the simple joys in life, do you hope that children will take this lesson to heart and learn to enjoy the joys and beauty of the world around them?
-Jesus Shows Me is the first book in the “Knowing My God” series, which teaches young children about God’s love by explaining selected scripture through colorful photographs and supportive text. Each page of this board book illustrates a segment of John 15:9-14 with a photo of an animal parent caring for its young, which exemplifies how God loves people. Illustrated by Jodie Stowe this is a delightful book that will capture your child's attention as they learn about the various aspects of a parents love as observed through the parent/child relationship of animals.
-Jesus Invites Me is the second book in the “Knowing My God” series, and explains Matthew 11:28-30, in which Jesus calls people to learn from him and to follow him. With illustrations by Jodie Stowe a child learns that by accepting the invitation of Jesus they will experience life in a new way. And Jesus is a loving guide that will never allow them to get lost.
-All of Me that You Can’t See is an illustrated rhyme that invites the child reader to become aware of his or her own spiritual self. With illustrations by Jeremy Tugeau a child learns that what he or she sees on the outside is only a small portion of who they really are. The inside hidden part needs to grow too and with the guidance of God and family the heart, mind, and soul can and will grow.
-Mud Puddle Hunting Day written follows a young girl’s splashy walk in the rain, as she discovers and celebrates some of life’s little joys. With illustrations by Melanie Magee your child or grandchild can learn to enjoy the simple pleasures of the natural created world. As the young girl and her dog enjoy their wet day they observe how different everything is on a day that they are searching for the perfect mud puddle in which to play.
When you wrote the Knowing My God series, what need were you hoping to fill with this series?
This series started as a desire to share the actual words of Jesus with my infant daughter. While Bible translations for young children have a place in a new life, they lose much of the original meaning. So I made a little flip chart book for her with photographs and Jesus' words. I really believed her heart, as God's creation, would hear those words and recognize them. As Graham Blanchard started developing the idea into a series, we realized that a much larger connection could be made with the beautiful real-world photographs. The books evolved into the multi-level format that offers an experience baby, toddler, and young child.
With Jesus Shows Me and and Jesus Invites Me you focus on a scripture passage, what about these specific verses drew you?
The Jesus Invites Me passage of Matthew 11:28-30 is foundational, so much so that it is referred to as the Great Invitation. Here, Jesus pleads with a heart-rending love for the world to find comfort and life with Him. It was the passage I used for that first homemade book for my daughter. If she never heard another passage, I wanted her to know that one.
Jesus Shows Me based on John 15:9-14 reflects the primary plea of God with humankind: Love me and obey me. Do a Bible search on "If you love me…" and you will find that it runs the course of Bible—and human—history. It's fundamental. God made us to love Him. Everything good and beautiful and eternal flows from that. And Jesus came to earth to show us what that kind of life looks like.
In All of Me that You Can't See you focus on the spiritual self. Do you feel that there is a lack of this awareness in books for children?
It's a human tendency to focus on the physical side of life, especially where children are concerned with all their daily needs. But they do have spiritual lives that need nurturing, too. This is where we believe the "first five years" are most important—a child's spiritual life with Jesus. All of Me That You Can't See is an Absorb book in the Graham Blanchard Learn-Absorb-Praise collection. We plan for our Absorb books to help convey who God is and how He made us to be in a relationship with Him. But to facilitate that, we aren't creating a how-to manual. We focus on a child's enjoyment of a book—is it engaging, beautifully illustrated, memorable—as a way to honor God and give parents the latitude to start conversations with their children.
Mud Puddle Hunting Day takes a look at enjoying the simple joys in life, do you hope that children will take this lesson to heart and learn to enjoy the joys and beauty of the world around them?
Oh, I think children, especially in the years 0 to 7, are full of hope, wonder, and joy, and are always game for an adventure—the girl in this book will be a kindred spirit to them all. In some ways, Mud Puddle Hunting Day is more about bringing the adult into the child's world, and experiencing with the child the remarkable wonders of everyday life. But also, a child who plays in mud on a rainy day should know how pleasing that is to God! He, too, marvels at His creation. That's why this is a Praise book in our collection. That just means we remember God in all we do.
Did you have a book that you took greater pleasure in writing than the others? If so which one was it and why?
All of these books have been in the works for a long time and had a strong network of people working on them. The illustrators were very involved in shaping the final outcome. This process isn't for every writer—it takes some detachment from the idea of being an author who has all the answers, and accepting a lot of input. I have greatly enjoyed this process, though, and seeing what God does along the way. Trying to say which one gave more pleasure would be like trying to choose a favorite child. They are all amazing to me in their own way and have taken on a life of their own.
Now we will take a closer look at Callie's books -

As these books are board books they are sturdy and should withstand rough handling by young readers.

Goddess Tithe ~ Cover Reveal and Giveaway
Back Cover Copy:
The Vengeful Goddess
Demands Her Tithe
When a stowaway is discovered aboard the merchant ship Kulap Kanya, Munny, a cabin boy on his first voyage, knows what must be done. All stowaways are sacrificed to Risafeth, the evil goddess of the sea. Such is her right, and the Kulap Kanya's only hope to return safely home.
Yet, to the horror of his crew, Captain Sunan vows to protect the stowaway, a foreigner in clown's garb. A curse falls upon the ship and all who sail with her, for Risafeth will stop at nothing to claim her tithe.
Will Munny find the courage to trust his captain and to protect the strange clown who has become his friend?
I had the fun of designing this cover—finding reference photos, inventing the composition, applying the text, etc.—but the actual artistic work was done by talented cover artist Phatpuppy (www.phatpuppyart.com), whose work I have admired for many years. It was such a thrill for me to contact and commission this artist to create a look for Goddess Tithe that is reminiscent of the original novels but has a style and drama all its own.
The boy on the front was quite a find. I hunted high and low for an image of a boy the right age, the right look, with the right expression on his face. Phatpuppy and I worked with a different model through most of the cover development stage. But then I happened upon this image, and both she and I were delighted with his blend of youth, stubbornness, and strength of character! It wasn’t difficult to switch the original boy for this young man. He simply is Munny, and this cover is a perfect window into the world of my story.
You can’t see it here, but the wrap-around back cover for the print copy contains some of the prettiest work . . . including quite a scary sea monster! Possibly my favorite detail is the inclusion of the ghostly white flowers framing the outer edge. These are an important symbol in the story itself, and when Phatpuppy sent me the first mock-up cover with these included, I nearly jumped out of my skin with excitement!
Intro to Illustration:
There are eight full-page illustrations in Goddess Tithe featuring various characters and events from the story. This is the first one in the book. I decided to share it with all of you since it depicts my young hero, Munny the cabin boy, under the watchful eye of his mentor, the old sailor Tu Pich. Munny is on his first voyage, and he is determined to learn all there is to know about a life at sea as quickly as possible. Thus we see him utterly intent upon the knot he is learning to tie. Tu Pich is old enough to know that no sailor will ever learn all there is to know about the sea. Thus he looks on, grave, caring, and perhaps a little sad. He might be looking upon his own younger self of many years ago, fumbling through the hundreds of difficult knots his fingers must learn to tie with unconscious ease.
I enjoyed creating all the illustrations for Goddess Tithe, but this one was my favorite. I love the contrasts of light and dark, the contrasts of young and old . . . youthful intensity versus the perspective of age.
Excerpt from the Story:
Here is an excerpt from the middle of the story. In this scene, Munny has been ordered to Captain Sunan’s cabin to clear away his breakfast . . . an unexpected task, for a lowly cabin boy would not ordinarily dare enter his captain’s private quarters! Munny hopes to slip in and out quietly without attracting the captain’s notice. But his hopes are dashed when Sunan addresses him, asking how their strange, foreign stowaway is faring:
__________
“And what do you make of him yourself?”
Munny dared glance his captain’s way and was relieved when his eyes met only a stern and rigid back. “I’m not sure, Captain,” he said. “I think he’s afraid. But not of . . .”
“Not of the goddess?” the Captain finished for him. And with these words he turned upon Munny, his eyes so full of secrets it was nearly overwhelming. Munny froze, his fingers just touching but not daring to take up a small teapot of fragile work.
The Captain looked at him, studying his small frame up and down. “No,” he said, “I believe you are right. Leonard the Clown does not fear Risafeth. I believe he is unaware of his near peril at her will, suffering as he does under a peril nearer still.”
Munny made neither answer nor any move.
“We will bring him safely to Lunthea Maly, won’t we, Munny?” the Captain said. But he did not speak as though he expected an answer, so again Munny offered none. “We will bring him safely to Lunthea Maly and there let him choose his own dark future.”
“I hope—” Munny began.
But he was interrupted by a sudden commotion on deck. First a rising murmur of voices, then many shouts, inarticulate in cacophony. But a pounding at the cabin door accompanied Sur Agung’s voice bellowing, “Captain, you’d best come see this!”
The Captain’s eyes widened a moment and still did not break gaze with Munny’s. “We’ll keep him safe,” he repeated. Then he turned and was gone, leaving the door open.
Munny put down the pot he held and scurried after. The deck was alive with hands, even those who were off watch, crawling up from the hatches and crowding the rails on the port side. They parted way for the Captain to pass through, but when Munny tried to follow, they closed in again, blocking him as solidly as a brick wall.
“Look! Look!” Munny heard voices crying.
“It’s a sign!”
“She’s warning us!”
“It’s a sign, I tell you!”
Fearing he knew not what, Munny ran for the center mast and climbed partway up, using the handholds and footholds with unconscious confidence. Soon he was high enough to see over the heads of the gathered crew, out into the blue waters of the ocean. And he saw them.
They were water birds. Big white albatrosses, smaller seagulls, heavy cormorants, even deep-throated pelicans and sleek, black-faced terns. These and many more, hundreds of them, none of which should be seen this far out to sea.
They were all dead. Floating in a great mass.
Munny clung to the mast, pressing his cheek against its wood. The shouts of the frightened sailors below faded away, drowned out by the desolation of that sight. Death, reeking death, a sad flotilla upon the waves.
“I’ve never seen anything like that.”
Munny looked down to where Leonard clung to the mast just beneath him, staring wide-eyed out at the waves. “How could this have happened? Were they sick? Caught in a sudden gale? Are they tangled in fishing nets?”
There was no fear in his voice. Not like in the voices of the sailors. He did not understand. He did not realize. It wasn’t his fault, Munny told himself.
But it was.

Anomaly ~ Team Novel Teen Blog Tour
Anomaly
By Krista McGee
But The Ten are determined to save the world that they have created and if Thalli's death will help them accomplish that goal so be it!
By Krista McGee
Question.
Feel.
Believe.
Thalli is an anomaly. She thinks. She questions. And she feels!
In a world where emotion has been eliminated Thalli is a threat not only to herself but to Pod C. Emotions destroyed the world but for the few that managed to survive below the surface. Pod C is the third generation to be created and emotion was to have been stripped from their genetic make-up, but something is wrong with Thalli - she feels.
With minutes left before her life is ended Thalli must decide whose truth she is going to believe. Is the truth that she has been taught her whole life true? Or should she believe John, a man from before when times were primitive, a man who believes in The Designer a being who is not human? Even more intriguing John speaks of emotions and feelings as if they were a blessing and not a horrible disease. And what about Berk her childhood friend that has tried to protect her and save her life?
Anomaly is the first book in a new dystopian trilogy from Thomas Nelson, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. If you like books that hook you with the climax at the beginning of the book you will LOVE Anomaly, just don't let The Ten know or this may be the last book you ever read!
Though of a different genre than her previous works, Krista still hits the mark with an entertaining and enjoyable reading experience. She creates characters that one truly cares about and doesn't mind spend time getting to know them. Though the target audience is Young Adult I would say that adults and some older J Fiction readers will find much to capture their attention as well.
Book blurb:
Book blurb:
Thalli has fifteen minutes and twenty-three seconds to live. The toxic gas that will complete her annihilation is invading her bloodstream. But she is not afraid.
Decades before Thalli’s birth, the world was decimated by a nuclear war. But life continued deep underground, thanks to a handful of scientists known as The Ten. There they created genetically engineered human beings who are free of emotions in the hope that war won’t threaten the world again.
Thalli is an anomaly, born with the ability to feel emotions and a sense of curiosity she can barely contain. She has survived so far by hiding her differences. But then her secret is discovered when she’s overwhelmed by the emotion of an ancient piece of music.
The Ten quickly schedule her annihilation, but her childhood friend, Berk—a scientist being groomed by The Ten—convinces them to postpone her death and study her instead. While in the Scientists’ Pod, Thalli and Berk form a dangerous alliance, one strictly forbidden by the constant surveillance.
As her life ticks a way, she hears rumors of someone called the Designer—someone even more powerful than The Ten. What’s more, the parts of her that have always been an anomaly could in fact be part of a much larger plan. And the parts of her that she has always guarded could be the answer she’s been looking for all along.
Thalli must sort out what to believe and who to trust, before her time runs out.
Interview with Krista McGee
Author bio:
Interview with Krista McGee
1) What inspired you to write Anomaly?
I have always loved dystopian stories, from books like 1984, Brave New World and The Giver to movies like Gattica and Matrix. But I always wished a dystopian story would be told from a Christian worldview. When my publisher asked if I'd be willing to tackle just that, I jumped at the chance!
2) How was writing Anomaly different than First Date, Starring Me, and Right Where I Belong? And do you have a preference in the these two genre?
Writing Anomaly was different in so many ways. In my first books, the world in which my characters lived was real, and the time period was now. In Anomaly, the world is fictional and it is set in the future. Also, in my first books, the plots were taken from biblical stories. In Anomaly, the plot was all mine. So there was much more creative freedom in Anomaly, but it was more difficult to write. I love both genres, though. I don't think I could pick a favorite.
3) What 3 adjectives would you use to describe Anomaly?
Unflinching, Unpredictable, and Underground
4) If you had to pick one character that you most closely related to in Anomaly, who would it be and why this character?
I am probably most like Thalli - as a teen, especially, I felt different from everyone around me. I also love music, and God has used music to draw me closer to him. And I can sometimes be a little too curious and overly emotional :).
5) You open Anomaly with the line "Fifteen minutes and twenty-three seconds. That's how long I have to live." This opening just pulled me right into the story and I have to admit kept me up until 4:30, because I wanted to know what happened. Did this opening come to you early in the process of writing this book, or did it come later?
That line was actually there from the beginning. When I sat down to write the proposal for this novel, it was there. I knew readers would need to be pulled in immediately - especially since the setting and characters are so different from setting and characters in contemporary novels. What better way to grab the reader than by giving them a countdown to death?
6) Will this be a multi-book series or will there just be two?
This is a trilogy - the second book, Luminary, will release in January and the third, Revolutionary, is out next July.
7) Which of your characters(any book) would you most like to spend the afternoon with? Why this character?
Great question! I'd probably go back to Right Where I Belong and hang out with Brian. He was my favorite character to write, partly because he is a projection of what I think my son, Thomas (age 10), will be like when he is 18. I'd enjoy listening to his antics and hearing his stories.
