Sarah Cunningham loves the life she lives in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She runs the candy shop she inherited from her mama, and she's engaged to her high school sweetheart.
But everything gets thrown into chaos when Robert Clanton comes to town following his daddy's accident. Sarah and Robert have an instant connection, almost as if they have known one another forever.
This naturally causes Sarah all sorts of doubts. How could she have this familiarity with someone she's never met before? And what about William? Sarah is so confused about what the future holds for her.
This is an interesting read. As the reader, one has insider information that allows one to know what is going on. But one feels the frustrations and conflict that the main characters are going through as they have to work through everything. I know a few times I was like, "No, no, no!" and "Choose so-and-so!"
The ending had a satisfying resolution with the story complete as is but there was a little wiggle room if the author decided to do a sequel. I think teens and adults who read Janette Oke or grew-up with Maddie Books would enjoy this book.

She likes to laugh with people, but not at people. The beach is her favorite vacation spot. She’s a spectator fan of several sports, with tennis being her favorite. She doesn’t enjoy being in the dark and is fearful of snakes!
