Skinny-licious ~ Review

Skinny-licious
Lite and Scrumptious Recipes for a Slimmer You
By Shauna Evans, RN

Do you struggle with controlling your weight?  Well, so did Shauna Evans after medication threw her metabolism out of whack!  After struggling for years with ways to control and even reverse her weight gain, Shauna quite by accident discovered a way to shed the pounds and regain control of her life.  What she hit upon was what David Zinczenko discovered - The 8-Hour Diet.

Now before you roll your eyes and moan, "Not another diet book!"  I'll tell you this is not a diet book, but rather a book of recipes that are healthy and delicious.  And what cookbook would be complete without desserts!  There are recipes that will appeal to a wide audience and it is fun to experiment with the different ones to find your favorite.

Being a vegetarian I was delighted to find many recipes that would work with my chosen way of eating and the recipes that do call for meat can be substituted with your favorite meat substitute (and there are a variety of them available on the market today).

I'm looking forward to next trying the Asparagus and Mushroom Frittata when I can get some fresh asparagus and button mushrooms.  The Lavender Shortbread Cookies are also calling my name and would be perfect on a summer afternoon.

I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher - Front Table Books, an imprint of Cedar Fort, in exchange for my honest review.
