Vanished ~ Review

Vanished
Private Justice Book 1
by Irene Hannon

Vanished by Irene Hannon is the first book in her new series - Private Justice which follows 3 Private Investigators with former ties to various branches of law enforcement and national security.

One rainy night when reporter Moira Harrison takes a detour she hits a woman and her car slipping on the wet road slides into a tree.  A "Good Samaritan" comes to their aid, or does he?  When Moira comes to more than an hour later the good Samaritan, the woman, and any sign of the two have vanished.

When the police refuse to pay heed to Moira's assertion that she hit a frightened woman, Moira can't rest until she finds her.  On the advice of a friend Moira seeks out ex-detective Cal Burke of Phoenix, Inc. to help her.

But with little evidence to go on the case seems dead until Moira hears a voice and notices an unusual ring.  Could this be her Good Samaritan?  But where is the woman who vanished?

With new clues Phoenix, Inc. takes Moira's case.  But what they begin uncovering points to something bigger  than a missing woman.  As Moira and Cal work the case, Cal has to confront the demons of his past when Moira's activities put her on a crash course with danger.

If you've read Irene Hannon in the past you don't want to miss the thrilling new series.  Vanished will capture attention and hold it to the very end!
