I have not read the first two books in this series, but the way this book was written meant I had no problem following the story.  The book opens with Jack and Sophie standing, watching the first day of filming about an incident from their lives. Jack is not overly thrilled to have his private life made public, but his life as a champion snowboarder makes him a person of interest.

But quickly the story shifts into high gear as Jack performs another daring feat of heroism when he rescues a mother and daughter from certain death following an accident. But this opens a whole batch of adventure and mystery as Jack and Sophie try to uncover what drove a mother to their rural Colorado town.

Jack and Sophie are soon caught up in a whole mess of trouble, and it's not their fault. No, really, trouble has a way of finding them, and then things sort of get crazy. And to top it all off, someone seems to be targeting Sophie, trying her whole life out of whack, by ruining her plans for the future. But through it all, these teens hold steady in their beliefs and their faith. 

I think fans of M. Liz Boyle's book might enjoy this one: action, danger, and faith. This is a book for teens, and even preteens, that features teens of character who, while facing situations most won't in their day-to-day, are relatable.

P.S. For teens who are Catholic, this is a book featuring teens who are likewise, which is scarce in today's market.

I loved the personal touches that made the characters relatable. Things like being Phoenix Suns fans, hands that showed use, repairing ranch equipment in freezing temperatures, and having doubts. All these details added to the book's appeal and encouraged me to read it through as quickly as possible. I would have liked a few scenes to be fleshed out a bit mote; but this was an enjoyable read and suitable for older teens

When Kyle walks back into her life, they work together to find answers and to decide if they have a future together.

This was a quick and easy read and an enjoyable spinoff of the Crow Nest series. I found myself rooting for Sam and Kyle to get a chance at having a second chance. The historical aspects surrounding margarine and the dairy industry in Wisconsin were interesting. Who knew that margarine was smuggled over state lines? I sure didn't. I knew that it was illegal but not the full extent. Fun and enjoyable.

This is a fun and enjoyable Regency read, sweet and clean. As much as I loved Emme and Simon's story I really loved Emme's cousin Thomas. I loved his protective but good-natured personality. And Simon's younger siblings, goodness what a handful. And some of their antics. I can so see this. I loved how the author brought Jane Austen's works into this story. Loved this book with its blend of humor and seriousness, and would love if this became a series the characters are that engaging.

This was an enjoyable read that is set in 1933 Montana and Scotland. Poor Ben, feeling as those, he is a monster sympathizes with the monster rumored to exist in the Loch Ness. This also gave the story a Beauty and the Beast vibe throughout. I would love to read future books featuring these characters.

I have to shake my head at Sadie, who seemed intent on making ill-advised decisions when danger was so close, and she was obviously a target. The twists added to the tension and the whodunit feel throughout. Overall, I'd say this was a good read, and I'm interested in what comes next in the series.
