Angel Eyes ~ CSFF January Blog Tour Day 3

Angel Eyes
By Shannon Dittemore

I had something different planned for today, but with the cold that the Upper Midwest has found itself in I find myself thinking about Brielle and her feeling of being cold.  When your high is -11 F, you understand cold and not being able to feel warm.

But what can cause feelings of cold like Brielle is experiencing when you aren't exposed to sub-zero temperatures?  Could her true source of cold be her separation from God.  Ali's death has touched her in more than one way.  The absence of her friend has cut her off from companionship.  But even more than that her soul has sensed its separation on a level that Brielle is not aware of.  Death has touched her.

The warmth that Brielle experiences when she is around Jake is the result of his close relationship with God.  Jake's soul is awakened to his Creator.

In Genesis 2:18 we read The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone..." (NIV)

In Matthew 18:20 we read "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (NIV)

We need to be with others to help us in our daily walk with the Lord.  Those of a like mind will stand by us when we face temptation and encourage when we are at valley in our life.  They can help us find the Light as we traverse the darkness.

In conjunction with this CSFF tour I was provided a copy of this book for the purpose of this review.
